Human Resources Generalist

We are launching an exciting new project in support of a financial services client in Montreal. As the HR Generalist at SinglePoint you will have the opportunity to gain broad experience within Human Resources. In this role you will support the Human Resources function by administering systems, processes, recruitment and employee relations. - Jobs offer in Canada - Human Resources Generalist 

Responsibilities: 

• Provide full cycle recruitment and selection services to the business including conducting discovery calls with hiring managers, posting requisitions on the applicant tracking system, engaging prospective candidates, screening resumes, interviewing, and using other selection tools and systems as required. 
• Coordinate and oversee the execution of specific recruitment related programs such as search firms and government grant programs. 
• Maintain current knowledge of all related employment legislations (i.e. Human Rights Act, 
• Employment Standards, Employment Equity, and Occupational Health & Safety Act) 
• Assist in the development and implementation of new programs, Employee Opinion Survey’s/ Focus Groups, Wage & Benefits survey, and other HR functions/ Action Plans 
• Conduct new employee orientations and exit interviews. 
• Prepare employee notices, letters, memorandums, and other documents as required

• Responsible for Social Committee Involvement Joint Health and Safety Committee Meetings 
• Advise and monitor hiring managers and candidates regarding policies, regulations, and government legislation pertaining to the recruitment and selection process. 
• Assists managers/supervisors in dealing with employee issues including investigations and providing advice in managing the progressive disciplinary procedures 
• Maintain recruitment related records in the applicant tracking system and related databases or spreadsheets. 
• Coordinate and participate in career fairs, information sessions, networking events, on-campus recruitment activities, and other off-site events to promote employment opportunities at SinglePoint. 
• Support the processes to onboard new employees. 
• Creates and disseminates HR related communications to the employee population 
• Maintain the HRMS (Taleo (TBE)) system including data entry, report writing, and auditing regularly to ensure accuracy. 
• Contribute to and support continuous improvements & best practices to influence HR strategies. 
• Stay current with changes in legislation, internal processes, policies, and procedures. 
• Work on highly sensitive and confidential employee relations issues. 

Experience/Qualifications 

Post Secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources, 

5-6 years of related work experience or equivalent 

CHRP or CHRL designation an asset 

Requires knowledge of recruitment & selection tools and best practices. 

Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in order to perform word processing, spreadsheet management, and creating PowerPoint presentations as required. 

Experience using an applicant tracking systems to post job requisitions, screen applicants, and report on recruitment metrics. 

Must have experience presenting and speaking in front of groups. 

Previous recruitment advertising experience, branding, social media, and other outreach activities is considered an asset. 

Previous experience using Taleo (TBE), including the BI reporting function, is considered an asset.
